THE ACT

of the Czech national Council

of the 19th of March 1992

on registration of churches and religious societies

 

 

The Czech national council has passed the following Act:

 

 

Article 1

 

(1) The churches and religious societies[1] which intent to develop its activities in the area of the Czech Republic, are registrated by the Ministry of culture of the Czech Republic, if:

a)   registred with them at least 10.000 of full age persons, which have permanent residence in the area of the Czech Republic,

b)   registred with them at least 500 of full age persons, which have permanent residence in the area of the Czech Republic and if these churches or religious societies are members of World council of Churches.

 

Article 2

 

Registration or abolishment of registration of the churches or religious societies announces the Ministry of culture of the Czech Republic in written form to the Czech statistic Office within the 7 day after the decision of registration entered into force.

 

Article 3

 

This Act enter into force on the day of its declaration.

This Act was declared in the official Collection of the Laws of Czech and Slovak Federal Republic on 1st of April 1992 (this date is also the date of entering into force of this Act)
