The Federal Assembly of the Czechoslovak Socialist
Republic has passed the following Act: |

Article 1 Preliminary provisions |
|
§ 1 Úvodní ustanovení |
|
|
|
(1) Everybody has the right to address himself or
herself, or jointly with other individuals, organs of the State or of local
self-government with requests, proposals and complaints in matters of public
or other common interest, which pertaining to competence of these organs.
(hereinafter referred to as
"petition") |
|
(1) Každý má právo sám nebo společně s jinými
obracet se na státní orgány se žádostmi, návrhy a stížnostmi ve věcech
veřejného nebo jiného společného zájmu, které patří do působnosti těchto
orgánů (dále jen "petice"). |
(2) Juridical persons can execute this right, if
it is in conformity with the aims of their activity. |

(2) Právnické osoby mohou toto právo vykonávat,
je-li to v souladu s cíli jejich činnosti. |
(3) A petition may not be used to interfere with
the independence of the courts. |
|
(3) Peticí se nesmí zasahovat do nezávislosti
soudu. |
(4) A petition have not to call to break of the
constituition and acts, to deny or to restrict personal, political or other
rights of citizens[1]
for their nationality, sex, race, origin, political or other conviction, religious confession and
social position, or to impassion of hatred and intolerance from these
reasons, or to the violence or harsh lewdness. |

(4) Petice nesmí vyzývat k porušování ústavy a zákonů,
popírání nebo omezování osobních, politických nebo jiných práv občanů pro
jejich národnost, pohlaví, rasu, původ, politické nebo jiné smýšlení,
náboženské vyznání a sociální postavení, nebo k rozněcování nenávisti a
nesnášenlivosti z těchto důvodů, anebo k násilí nebo hrubé neslušnosti. |
