From the Church Law Society

 

Congratulations

 

On 14 May 2008 Damián Němec, a member of the Church Law Society, successfully defended his habilitation before the Academic Council of the Sts Cyril and Methodius School of Theology of Palacký University in Olomouc; the topic of his habilitation was Concordats of the Holy See with Post-Communist Countries (1990-2007). He received his nomination decree on 24 October 2008.

 

On 6 October 2008 the President of the Czech Republic appointed JUDr. Daniel Spratek from Ostrava, a member of the Church Law Society, a judge. He is assigned to the District Court in Karviná, branch Havířov, civil section. At the same time Dr. Spratek finished the doctoral program at the Law School of Charles University in Prague and was awarded a Ph.D. degree at a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Carolinum on 4 November 2008.

 

JUDr. Ing. ThLic. Marie Kolářová from Prague, the Chancellor of the Roman Catholic Prague Archdiocese and a member of the Church Law Society, finished the doctoral program in Catholic theology at the Catholic School of Charles University in Prague. She was awarded her degree at a ceremony in the Great Hall of the Carolinum on 12 November 2008.

 

JUDr. Markéta Trimble Landová, PhD., who cooperates with the Church Law Society and is a J.S.D. candidate at Stanford Law School, passed the New York State Bar exam.
