The European Union respects and does not prejudice the status under national law of churches and religious associations or communities in the Member States. The European Union equally respects the status of philosophical and non-confessional organisations.	Evropská unie respektuje a neupravuje statut církví a náboženských společností, který se řídí právní úpravou členských států. Evropská unie také respektuje statut filosofických a nenáboženských organizací.

With reference to the Declaration on the status of churches and non-confessional organisations, Greece recalls the Joint Declaration on Mount Athos annexed to the Final Act of the Treaty of Accession of Greece to the European Communities.	S ohledem na Deklaraci o právním postavení církví a nenáboženských organizací, Řecko odstupuje od Společné deklarace ve věci hory Athos, připojené k závěrečnému aktu Smlouvy o přistoupení Řecka k Evropským společenstvím.
